I got my first Elkhound in 2007 and my girlfriend and I fell in love with the breed. So smart, independent and loving.
Unfortunately he passed away last year and we knew we needed another Elkhound. As I’m sure you are aware, Norwegian Elkhounds are not common so I began to search for breeders. I came across Lone Wolf Kennel on kijiji and couldn’t have been happier I did. Joel was very quick to answer all my questions about his kennel. He went above and beyond to make sure we not only got the pup we wanted but arranging a meet with the pup and pick up that was certainly on my schedule. Bo (our elkhound pup) has become a huge part of our family. We have 2 young children and they love him to pieces. He’s also very protective of them. Very quick to make strangers and other animals know that they are with him. Bo was extremely easy to house train and crate train.
